1. Who we are

Exploratores operates a STEM education centre at 219 East Broad St., 2nd Floor, Westfield, NJ 07090. Contact: info@exploratores.com, (908) 913-3141.

2. Booking

• A booking is confirmed when payment is taken and you receive a confirmation email. A seat is not held before that.
• Bookings are made by an adult on behalf of a participant under 18.
• Class series prices are prorated if you join after the cycle has started.
• Age and grade bands are guidance, not a rule. If you are unsure, ask us before booking and we will say which room fits.

3. Prices and payment

• Prices are in US dollars and shown before tax unless stated. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.
• Payment is by card or digital wallet, processed by Stripe. We do not store card details.
• Party bookings take a $150 deposit, with the balance due on the day.
• We may change prices for future terms. A price you have already paid does not change.

4. What is included

All materials, tools, kits and take-home projects are included in the fee. Camps and mini camps do not include food. Party packages include what is listed on the parties page and nothing beyond it unless agreed in writing.

5. Changes we may make

• We may substitute an instructor. The curriculum and ratio stay the same.
• We may change a project if a material is unavailable, keeping the same concept.
• We may cancel a session for weather, illness or a building issue. If we do, see the cancellation policy for your options.
• We may cancel a class or camp that does not reach minimum numbers, with a full refund.

6. Behaviour and safety

Participants follow instructions from staff, particularly around tools. We may remove a participant from an activity, or in serious cases from the programme, if their conduct puts anyone at risk. We will always speak to you first, and we refund the unused portion.

7. Late collection

Please collect on time. Sessions run back to back and the room has to be reset. If you are running late, call. Persistent late collection may attract a charge of $15 per fifteen minutes, and we will tell you before we ever apply it.

8. Gift cards

• No expiry date and no fees.
• Spendable on any Exploratores programme.
• Not exchangeable for cash and not refundable.
• Transferable, so you can pass one on.

9. Group and school bookings

Schools, Scout troops and other organisations may book by purchase order. We supply a W-9 and a certificate of insurance on request. Tax exemption certificates must be provided at the time of booking, not afterwards.

10. Intellectual property

Curriculum, lesson plans and project designs remain the property of Exploratores. Projects your child builds are theirs. Photographs we take remain ours, and are used only under the permission you set in the waiver.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Beyond that, our liability in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
