Privacy Policy
We hold information about children, so this page is written to be read rather than scrolled past.

The short version
We collect what we need to teach your child safely and take payment: your contact details, your child’s first name, grade, allergies and who may collect them. We do not sell anything to anyone. Card numbers never touch our servers. Ask us to delete your data and we will, apart from what tax law makes us keep.
1. What we collect
| About you | Name, email, phone, billing address |
| About your child | First name, grade, date of birth, school, allergies and medical notes you give us, who is allowed to collect them |
| Bookings | What you booked, when, what you paid, your signed waiver |
| Website usage | Anonymous analytics: pages viewed, roughly where you are, what device |
| Photographs | Only if you opted in. Separate from everything else and reversible at any time |
2. What we never collect
- Card numbers. Payment goes straight to Stripe. We see the last four digits and nothing else.
- Your child’s full name is not required, only a first name and an initial if you prefer.
- We do not run advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers.
3. Why we hold it
- To run the class safely. Allergies and collection permissions go on the register the instructor carries.
- To take payment and issue receipts.
- To contact you about the session your child is booked into, including cancellations.
- To email you term dates, only if you asked for that. It is a separate tick box and unsubscribing does not affect your bookings.
4. Who else sees it
Only the processors we need to operate:
- Stripe for card payments
- Mailchimp for term-date emails, if you subscribed
- Google Analytics for anonymous website statistics
- Our website host
We do not share your child’s information with anyone else, including other parents. If a photograph you opted into includes another family’s child, we will not publish it unless they have opted in too.
5. How long we keep it
- Booking and payment records: seven years, because tax law requires it.
- Waivers: for the school year they cover, plus three years.
- Child details: until you ask us to delete them, or two years after the last booking.
- Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe.
6. Your choices
Email info@exploratores.com and we will action any of these within 30 days:
- Get a copy of everything we hold about you and your child
- Correct anything wrong
- Delete your data, other than records we are legally required to keep
- Withdraw photography consent, including for photographs already published
- Unsubscribe from emails, which you can also do from any email we send
7. Children’s data
Accounts are held by adults. Children do not create accounts, log in, or receive marketing from us. Everything we hold about a child was given to us by their parent or guardian at booking.
8. Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart working and to count visits anonymously. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser and the site will still work, apart from the cart remembering what is in it.
9. Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially we will email anyone with an active booking. For anything at all, write to info@exploratores.com or call (908) 913-3141.
A drafted replacement showing structure and tone. Not legal advice. The processors listed are the ones visible in the site’s plugin stack, and Exploratores should confirm the full list and have counsel review before publishing.
