What it is
Open-ended, not open-plan chaos
There is a challenge on the board every week: build something that holds a weight, that moves without a motor, that lights up. Materials are laid out, tools are supervised, and how you solve it is entirely up to you.
- Cardboard, wood, LEGO, circuits, motors, magnets and glue guns
- Come alone, with a friend, with a sibling, or with a parent who wants a go
- Staff on hand, but they will not tell you the answer
- Whatever you finish, you keep
All makerspace sales are non-refundable and non-transferable. Purchasing admission means agreeing to our terms.

Makerspace questions
Do I have to stay with my child?
From age 6, no. You can drop them off and come back. Under 6, an adult stays with them the whole time. There is seating and it is a perfectly good place to sit with a laptop.
Do I need to book?
Not for the weekday slots. Friday evenings and Saturdays get busy, so booking is worth it if you are making a trip.
How long do children usually stay?
Ninety minutes is typical. The first hour is $20 and each additional half hour is $10, so you can decide as you go rather than committing up front.
Is the sibling rate for any two children?
Siblings only, not friends or extended family. Everyone else pays the standard admission.
Can we hire the whole space?
Yes. Sundays are kept for private hire, and Scout troops, homeschool groups and classmates all book it. See Group Events for the per-head rates.
